Our History

Our Journey: Maisha Care Uganda’s Growth Since 2019

Founded in 2019, Maisha Care Uganda began as a bedside care agency, offering in-home and hospital services to the elderly, critically ill, mothers, and children. Our initial focus included palliative care, maternal and child nursing, and personalized health support across Uganda.

By 2022, Maisha Care Uganda expanded to include physiotherapy, nutrition and diet therapy, psychosocial support, and non-emergency medical transport, addressing holistic needs. At Maisha Care Uganda, we also started philanthropy through supporting orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) and the elderly in underserved communities, providing resources, education, and care.

From 2022 to 2023, despite challenges like the post-pandemic recovery, we grew our team and services. We enhanced our nutrition and health programs to restore hope, improve recovery, and partnered with local organizations to support OVC with education and the elderly with health check-
ups and companionship.

By 2024, Maisha Care Uganda had served over 2,000 individuals, with a team of 50+ professionals.
We expanded palliative care for the elderly, becoming a trusted name in compassionate care. At Maisha Care Uganda, we aim to deepen our community impact, continuing to uplift lives across
Uganda; one family, one community at a time.
